The Attergau is an area northwest of Lake Attersee in Upper Austria and consists of the small communities of St. Georgen, Straß, Weißenkirchen and Berg. The unique atmosphere at Lake Attersee was also appreciated by Gustav Klimt, who regularly spent his summers here between 1900 and 1916. In the Gustav Klimt Center you can learn about the life and work of the artist. Around the Attersee you will also find the smaller ski resorts Kronberg, Wachtberg and Hochlecken, which are particularly suitable for a family vacation.

The Ausseerland in the Salzkammergut is the winter wonderland par excellence - here you can devote yourself entirely to skiing and go on romantic snow hikes.
